Water Country

This week while Jeff was off we took the kids to water country for the first time. They loved every minute of it! Of course I was not able to get a ton of photos since we were in water most of the time but I did manage to snap a few!

lunch break

Our day ended right around five in the evening when a thunderstorm was brewing nearby and the park shut all the rides down. Quintin was so close to riding a ride on his own when they announced they were closing the rides. He took the news well though and said he would have to come back next year to ride by himself. Zachary had no fear the entire visit and wanted to ride the adult slides. We stood him next to the measuring stick to show him how much more he has to grow before he can ride some of the bigger rides. Both boys are looking forward to going back again next year and we may even consider passes next summer.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible school this year was a blast. All the kids including mine had a great time learning scriptures and particularly learning how to stand strong for God. Everything was decorated like a castle and it was incredible what my kids took away from that week. If you were to ask them now they could still tell you ways they can stand strong for God.

Quintins 4k End of the Year Field Trip

To celebrate the end of 4k Quintin's teacher took her class to "Blue Bird Gap Farm". A lot of schools have ceremonies but at Hampton Christian they do not have graduation for 4k. I don't think the kids minded this celebration in place of a graduation though. They had a blast even though it was so hot that day. I went as a helper to the teacher and had a great time with Quintin exploring all the animals and plant life as well as watching him play with his friends.

Quintin got a little moody right before lunch. He claimed he was starving but he had to wait for the whole class to eat together. He refused to smile or have fun until he ate something!
After lunch they celebrated with cupcakes and then the kids got to play on the playground until it was time to head back to school

did I mention how hot it was!
