Colonial Williamsburg

Bekah and the boys took a day trip to Colonial Williamsburg with a friend since it was offering free admission to local residents. It was a lot of walking and I do not think the boys were ready for all it had to offer. However, they did enjoy spending time with friends while learning a little bit about what it meant to live in those times. Here are just a few pictures since Bekah was on her own with all three boys there was not a whole lot of picture taking!!

the carpenter was the boys favorite part:)

wow those are some cool guns

Day Trip to Mount Vernon

Some of our friends from Texas were in the DC area and were able to meet up with us for a day. We decided to tour Mount Vernon since Jeff had never been and Bekah went when she was just a young child. The kids all had fun playing while the adults took everything in and caught up since it had been almost two years since we saw the Ethridge family. It was so good to see them and we are so excited for their baby number three on the way this fall. Unfortunately there is not many pictures because we could not take pictures in the house, but here are a few to enjoy from our day!

Wesley 7 and 8 months update

Wesley is 8 months old and is really starting to show his personality. He is a very busy boy and does not like to sleep alot! For those who have tried to hold him sitting down know it is not an easy task. He will grab at anything he can. He will nap at the most 3-4 hours a day now and only sleeps about 8 hours at night. Bekah is still breastfeeding him about 4 times a day and he eats all his meals and snacks. He is now picking up some foods and feeding himself. He loves his baby cereal snacks and if we take them away he gets very upset! Here are a few pictures of his seventh month.

who me?

Wesley is just now starting to show some interest in crawling but still has not gone anywhere. He rocks and if he makes it to his tummy he just cries until you sit him up. We are in no hurry though it is kind of nice that we do not have to worry about him getting into everything just yet. We know it is just around the corner. He also has another bottom tooth, so that makes a total of three for  him all on the bottom. He waves, claps, says da da, ney ney, and ba ba! He is still very much a mommas boy and if Bekah is in the room she has to be holding him or he just cries. If he is with Jeff he is fine playing on his own. We love him so much and cant imagine our lives without him. Here are a couple Eight month pictures of him to enjoy. We will probably add a few more by the end of the month.

Smith Mountain Lake

This summer we went with Bekahs family to Smith Mountain Lake up in Roanoke, VA. It was a very relaxing time with family. We mostly hung around the beach or pool letting the kids play. We enjoyed a family game of wiffle ball with all the family cousins and it was a hoot watching some of our family play. We also went to the VA Safari and the Natural bridge while we were there. We also visited a local mini golf place which was a lot of fun for everyone. Everyone had a great time hanging out and the boys enjoyed living with their cousins for the entire week!
