Embracing Fall

Today Bekah and the boys were supposed to do some fall crafts with homeschool friends, but yesterday found out Wesley had pink eye. We caught it extremely early so today there is no redness at all but just to be safe we are keeping Wesley home for the weekend other than store errands where he is in his car seat for the ride. We are also putting in antibiotic drops which he absolutely hates!
Quintin and Zachary were looking forward to doing crafts so we came up with our own craft to do today. Since Bekah still had nothing hanging on the front door she and the boys created a fall wreath with leaves and hand prints. Bekah had a lot of fun creating with the boys and was even able to get in the picture when Quintin took over on the camera. Bekah had a great time with the boys and now has a cute little door wreath!
Hope you enjoy the photos from todays crafting

Pirates for Krispy Kreme

Friday the boys dressed up to get free donuts at Krispy Kreme. They were both very excited to get their own dozen...Enjoy the photos:)

Wesley's Nine Month Update

Well Wesley is nine months old already!! Time is sure flying by. He is very energetic even though he is not crawling. He still thinks he can cry to get his way and gets frustrated easily when he does not get his way. He is very much of a mommys boy still and if Bekah is in the room he insists on being held.
Even though he does not crawl he loves to stand. It probably will not be long before he stands on his own and is holding on and walking. The doctor assured us his strength is good and it probably wont be long before he is mobile.
Saying Wesley loves to eat is an understatement. We can not give him anything but table food now and he gets upset when he cant feed himself. He picks up food really well on his own and likes to  mash it in his hands.  It is quite gross! He is not picky so far and eats anything you put in front of him. He eats the most out of all the boys so far and now weighs 19.1 lbs and is 30 inches long.
Wesley loves patty-cake and waving. He loves when Bekah sings to him as well.
Bekah is still nursing three times a day before meal times and Wesley is sleeping pretty well. Most nights he sleeps about 10 hours at night and naps about 4.
Wesley has been a teething mess so far this month and now has 5 teeth through...two top front and three bottom front!
He is a joy to have in our family and we can not imagine life without him.

Homeschool Decision 2014

After much prayer, consideration, and reviewing all of our options for school; We decided to give homeschooling a try. Bekah homeschooled Zachary a little bit last year before Wesley came along. She did not get as much accomplished as she wanted to since Wesley was such a challenging baby. We were worried Quintin would hate it since he has been in a school the past two years, and at first he was not excited! He is coming around to it now though and actually quoted last week during a history lesson, "homeschooling is more fun"!
Both boys are doing very well so far, and Bekah seems to be enjoying teaching them more than she thought. We are not sure at this point if we will continue to home school every year and plan to take our schooling decisions one year at a time.
Quintin is in first grade and Zach is in 4k. We will try to record fun homeschool moments on the blog so you can see how we are progressing. Our mornings are quite different now, but we seem to all be adjusting well.
Here are just a few pictures that include morning seat work, math patterns and the last two history projects.
Patterns with legos is so much more fun
