Lego Club

We have been participating in Lego club once a month at our library and it has been a great way for Quintin to get around other kids that love to build. At home he mostly builds vehicles and sets that he has directions for. At Lego club he comes up with some very creative things. The librarian starts with reading stories about the topic and then they are encouraged to build on the topic. Quintin has not yet built on the topic, but is using his imagination and that is really the point of the club. There is also duplo legos for the little ones to build so Wesley can get in on a little Lego fun as well.

He titled this one "The old west"

Quintins 7th Birthday

Quintins birthday this year fell on a bad weekend, but of course a seven year old does not understand that. Our church was doing a major outreach event that we were committed to and Jeff was also on duty that weekend. We did make it special for him though! First thing that morning Bekah's mom (grammy) brought him donuts
Later that day Jeff's mom(Grandma) kept the boys for Bekah to run some errands and she helped him bake his own birthday cake. Baking is a passion for him already and he enjoys baking every time he goes over to his Grandmas.
That evening we gave Quintin his present from us and took him to eat pizza at Ricos and we ended the night singing happy birthday to him at home with the cake he baked!

One week later we had his party! We kept it small with just immediate family and then invited a few friends to come over and spend the night to do something fun the next day. Quintin had originally chosen a Lego building place but since it shut down we ended up at chuckie cheese(no photos as it was crazy chasing 5 boys around on a saturday at chuckie cheese)

Update on Wesley

Wesley is now 14 months old..Wow time is flying by! We had him allergy tested and turns out he is allergic to or has high sensitivity to eggs, dairy, nuts, eggs, and soy. This has been quite a challenge for us. We always thought eating healthy was making sure you get your fruits and vegetables for the day. Now we are finding ourselves buying a lot more organic foods and are more cautious about what we are eating. Wesley also has contact dermatitis so he still reacts to most things that touch his skin. He has been on an organic diet now for about 3 weeks and we cant say that there is too much improvement. We do know that it can take a few months to work everything out of his system.
poor buddy after his testing

Wesley Crawls like a champ but is not yet walking and we will actually be having someone from early intervention coming to the house soon to check on his progress. His feet tend to turn out when he stands and he may need to have some physical therapy.

Even though he is very high maintenance we love him more than life. His laugh and smile just makes it all worth while. He also loves to talk and says momma dadda juice ball and uh oh. He talks in his own language all day long and never stops. He is definitely going to be the social one of the boys we think.

21 lbs now and in a big boy seat

Our Visit to Nauticus

A few weeks ago Bekah took the kids to the Nauticus museum with her sister, niece, and nephew. All the kids had a blast as they explored what it was like to be on a ship. Their favorite part was touring the Wisconsin. All of them wanted to to move in! Enjoy the photos.
