Memorial Weekend

Jeff finally had a weekend where he did not have to work. We took advantage of the time we had together. It was a wonderful relaxing weekend!
Saturday was an unusual cool day so we had a family yard work day, Our yard here is a lot more work than what we are used to, but we had fun doing it together!

Sunday it was still cooler than usual so my sister had a bonfire at her house. First we enjoyed dinner together and then all headed out to build a fire and roast marshmallows. The kids love it and they feel like they are really camping out!

Monday we had some friends over to grill out. We had great company, good food, and lots of fun hanging out. All the kids of course had a blast playing together as always! We feel blessed to have connected with great people so quickly and it has made this transition for us a lot easier.

Spring Soccer Ends

Quintin had his last soccer game of the spring season last night. He has improved a lot this season and even scored a goal! He really wants to play on this team again in the fall and he is looking forward to having the same coach. We are very proud of how far he has come from last year and look forward to more growth next season!

Tides Game

Last week Jeff took a few days off work and we took the boys to the the Norfolk Tides game. It was very hot that day but thankfully we got to sit in the shade. Quintin was really into the game and asking daddy lots of questions while Zach explored every seat there was in the area. The kids pretty much ate the entire time we were there which helped keep them occupied.

The family entertainment was pretty good I thought for the kids to watch. Our favorite was the build a burger relay

The Tides are also playing really well this year and hit at least 5 homers while we were there!

The kids also really enjoyed watching the mascot dance. Honestly I think Zach would not have lasted as long as he did if it was not for rip tide dancing periodically!

After about two hours it was the top of the sixth when Zach said he was ready for a nap. We did not stay the whole game but I think everyone enjoyed it for the most part.

Baby #3

The Pennington's are having another baby! No, it is not because we are still trying for a girl cause Jeff and I have always wanted four kids if we could handle it. I have always felt that I would be a mom of four boys just like my aunt Terri, so if by some unexpected chance we did have a girl, I would shocked. With that being said, I am looking forward to baby boy #3(even though nothing has been confirmed).
Quintin was the first one to expect a baby. Three days before I took a positive pregnancy test he drew a picture of our family and mommy was pregnant in the photo. This was also how I announced my pregnancy to our family and friends.

My first trimester has been similar to Zacharys pregnancy except that I am hungry all the time. I do not remember needing to eat like every hour. I have not really been sick just a few waves of nausea which is how it was with Zach.  Last week we got a sneak peak at our little bundle of joy. I have also noticed that my belly is growing much faster with this one so I took a photo at 11 weeks.
We are looking forward to bringing baby # 3 into this family sometime between the end of November early December. December 2 is my official due date but I have a feeling it will be a November arrival!

Circus of Fun 2013

A couple weeks ago we went to the circus with Jeffs family because it was in town. The boys were so excited and could not wait to get inside. Even the walk inside was an adventure as the boys talked and talked about what they thought they would see.

We made it to our seats before the show started and the first thing the boys noticed was the man selling cotten candy. Cotton candy is expensive at the circus but when you go you have to have some, that is just the way it is! They did really well sitting together and sharing it though:)

Since we arrived before the show we were able to get somewhat of a family shot in our seats.
of course Quintin and Zach were still stuffing their mouths with cotton candy!

The show got started and my boys can not sit still for very long. I was extremely surprised when they didnt move for almost an entire hour. They watched many exciting acts take the stage including the lions cage, elephants, clowns, trappists, elephants, cannon tricks, horses and more.

We did not last the whole circus but we came pretty close. Of course that was fine with the adults cause we got to escape the parking lot before it became insane. The next day I asked the boys what their favorite part of the circus was?  Zach answered with doggies and Quintin answered with when they shot the lady out of the cannon ball. They also asked when we were going to go back:)

Zachary is 3!!

Our Zachary turned three this month and it was so much fun to watch him celebrate with is friends. On his actual birthday we gave him our presents first thing in the morning. He was very surprised to get some of the things he had been asking for.

For Zachs party he chose a Winnie the Pooh theme which was not easy at all but we did the best we could with his choice. I kept the decorations and food very simple. I mostly used the computer to cut characters out. I had the themed table cloth with some balloons added for sky and grass. The kids had a blast eating nuggets with poohs favorite honey, mixed fruit and carrots from rabbits garden, and tigger tails(Cheetos). They made a fun hundred acre wood craft with stickers and finally ate cake. I didnt manage to get a whole lot of pictures at the party but here are a few.

a little shy at first
