ARR!!

This past weekend we went to "Pirates Pack the Park". It was an attempt to set a world record of the most pirates in one place at one time. We did not set a record, but our boys did have a blast. We arrived early to the festival which was very smart because most of the crowd did not start piling in until after lunch. Since it was not crowded we were able to enjoy all the excitement the festival had to offer. There is a crew that travels around the world putting on this festival and they set up camp like actual pirates so you can see how pirates lived. The boys were very interested in learning all the different things about the pirates, but of course their favorite thing was the treasure!!

It is not a festival without the kid section. There were free crafts to do where the boys chose to make flags and pirate boats. There were games and of course bouncy houses and slides. Apparently the new fun thing for festivals are velcro walls. I could not even believe my boys wanted to do this. They put velcro suits on and got flipped upside down sticking to a velcro wall. They probably hung there for a good 3 minutes. I was laughing the whole time!

The boys had a great time and they now want to be pirates for halloween!!

Progression of Baby Boy #3

Well I have made it into the third trimester with baby boy #3. I feel like pregnancy is so much different when life is busy. I am on my feet all the time and barely have time to sit down for anything during the day. Once and awhile I get lucky and steal thirty minutes of rest during the day. With School, soccer, mops, and everyday responsibilitities and errands there is not much room for rest. we are all looking forward to meeting this little guy soon!
Let's take a look back on this pregnancy shall we?

Back to School

Quintin started back to school whining about returning. He was not so happy the first couple days about going to school but by the end of the week he said it was not so bad. He was very pleased to hear that his 4k teacher had moved up to kindergarten and that he would have Miss Noble again this year. He loved having her as a teacher last year and became very attached. My shy little boy would run up and give her hugs all the time by the middle of the school year last year. I  think he is going to have a great year. Quintin did not want any pictures taken inside the classroom this year but here are some pictures from the first day!

Zachary is 3 now and I was not ready to put him in school since I stay at home. I just feel like he is still young and school would mostly be a play time for him. Instead we have been attempting a school schedule at home for him. He is very eager to learn and is doing great with it. We have mostly been focusing on basics to start. He learns a new letter every week and attempts to trace and write it, does a craft(focusing on coloring, cutting, and gluing), reviews shapes and colors, practices drawing shapes, reading time(with me reading to him of course), and counting. Here he is enjoying his first day and I must say I am still surprised that when we drop Quintin off at school he is asking to go home and do his school.
