Zachary is 3 now and I was not ready to put him in school since I stay at home. I just feel like he is still young and school would mostly be a play time for him. Instead we have been attempting a school schedule at home for him. He is very eager to learn and is doing great with it. We have mostly been focusing on basics to start. He learns a new letter every week and attempts to trace and write it, does a craft(focusing on coloring, cutting, and gluing), reviews shapes and colors, practices drawing shapes, reading time(with me reading to him of course), and counting. Here he is enjoying his first day and I must say I am still surprised that when we drop Quintin off at school he is asking to go home and do his school.

Back to School
Quintin started back to school whining about returning. He was not so happy the first couple days about going to school but by the end of the week he said it was not so bad. He was very pleased to hear that his 4k teacher had moved up to kindergarten and that he would have Miss Noble again this year. He loved having her as a teacher last year and became very attached. My shy little boy would run up and give her hugs all the time by the middle of the school year last year. I think he is going to have a great year. Quintin did not want any pictures taken inside the classroom this year but here are some pictures from the first day!
