Visit to Texas winter 2013

Bekah and Quintin had the chance to visit Texas shortly after Christmas. Quintin was over the top excited about seeing his best bud Price. We spent the first half of our stay at the Burnettes home which was Prices house. Quintin loved every second he got to spend with his best bud. The weather was not very warm so we did not make it to the beach, but had some good times at Red River BQ Jimmy Changas, parks, and other places.

One thing the boys wanted to do while they were together was a craft. I think Emily and I were a little disappointed that we could not find an easy best friends craft. Price and Quintin seemed happy with matching monkey masks so we made our purchase and brought them back to the house to paint them.

Quintin always liked going to Prices house to play in his fort. This trip was no different!

While we were staying at the Burnettes home we got to have dinner with my neighbor and all the boys had a blast playing together.

One of my good friends from Texas decided to have a little get together for me. It was so great to see all the great ladies I was close to in one place again. I miss them so much and the friendships that were established. My prayer is that they will last a life time.

We had no babysitter of course so the kids had free reign up stairs which did not end too badly!

Quintin's time with Price flew by and it was time to say good bye. This good bye seemed easier then the first one. The boys know now that they can talk on skype and visit each other and that there will be a next time!!!
The rest of our stay was at another friends house. We had a play date at Mcdonalds and took lots of walks to the river where the kids loved to throw rocks. Ever since Quintin has come home from Texas this seems to be something he really enjoys wherever we are. We were also able to see a few more buds and play before we left including my good friend Mabel and her two kids.

On this trip I did not take enough pictures and it has convinced me that I need to start carrying my camera around with me again. The phone is just not cutting it!
We had a great visit to Texas though and I hope we can go back for another visit soon!

On our way back home Quintin and Bekah were missing everyone and needed a little distraction. Bekah decided coffee was what she needed and Quintin asked for the same. No, Bekah did not give him coffee, but did get him a hot cup of cocoa so he could pretend. It was a great mother son bonding experience.
